2023 continues to be very busy with a healthy mixture of mastering new releases, and remastering projects for RHINO Records, Universal Music (UMe Catalog), and more Screeching Weasel catalog work. Remastering for the next Replacements box-set is completed and the project is now in production. Watch for an announcement later this year.
If you’ll be at NAMM in April or Making Vinyl (Minneapolis) in early June, feel free to reach out via email/DM if you’d like to meet up. I’m looking forward to both events.
In early March I was a guest on the “Progressions” podcast which you can listen to HERE, or via the embedded player.
Two albums that were mastered here, ‘Philadelphia Mississippi’ by G. Love and ‘Set Sail’ by North Mississippi Allstars have been nominated for “Best Blues Record” by the Association of Independent Music (A2IM) for their 2023 Libera Awards.
Universal Music released a 40th Anniversary Deluxe edition of Donna Summer’s 1983 smash-hit ‘She Works Hard For The Money‘ album that was remastered here, and includes some bonus tracks. It’s available on all the streaming services.
Darren Jessee (co-founder and drummer for Ben Folds Five) has a great new album out via Bar None Records called ‘Central Bridge’ that was produced and mixed by the great Alan Weatherhead, and mastered here. It’s available on all the streaming services, and you can get it digitally or on vinyl over on Bandcamp by clicking HERE.
Tommy Stinson (The Replacements, Guns N’ Roses, Soul Asylum) announced the debut album from Tommy Stinson’s Cowboys In The Campfire called ‘WRONGER’ that was both mixed & mastered here, with mixing help from Ian Olvera and Duane Lundy.
The full album is out June 2nd on streaming, CD, and vinyl, and the first video and single for the song “Dream” is out now.
