June was another great and busy month here at the studio. A lot of great new releases that were mastered here came out. I also took a day off to set up the new M2 Mac Pro that runs the main studio here. It’s an incredibly fast machine that is really inspiring to work on.
The first single from the upcoming Lydia Loveless album was released. The single is called “Toothache” (you can watch the video HERE) and the album is called ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stand In My Way Again’ which comes out September 22nd via Bloodshot Records. Pre-order HERE.
As mentioned last month, the debut album from Tommy Stinson’s Cowboys in the Campfire titled ‘WRONGER’ is out now. You can order a copy HERE. A second single and video was just released for the song “That’s It”, which you can watch HERE.
The classic compilation CD ‘Kill The Musicians‘ by Screeching Weasel was remastered here from the best possible sources, and is now available on all the streaming services. You can also purchase a CD from Rumbar Records, and double vinyl LP version will soon be available from Recess Records. This CD was originally released in 1995 on Lookout! Records.
Two great records that happened to be mixed by Beau Sorenson and mastered here came out in June. ‘Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next?‘ by Loupe and ‘Bound To Be‘ by Corvair.
Mom Rock released another single called “My Way” that was recently mastered here, and you can watch the video HERE. The song was produced with Sean O’Keefe who also mixed it.
Lastly, I did another podcast interview with Lij Shaw on his Recording Studio Rockstars podcast. You can find it on the podcast app of your choice, or you can stream it below. We talked a lot about mastering related things, and using Samply.app for project approvals and other things.
